So, we've had two pretty nasty clean-ups to do around our house, but have been procrastinating...plus, we were out of town for a few days, so that doesn't count.
The first is the mystery smell...that I smell but apparently others don't. It smells like old onion skins around our sink...it's been cleaned and cleaned, but still the smell persists. So, I prodded Demetri to check inside the old trash compactor just in case that's what is smelling. Here's how that worked:
The second is the trash can outside. Apparently, some water got in while there was trash still in the bucket and ta-da...maggots :) Our best plan was to dump bleach in the can, let it sit, rinse it our...here's what that looked like:
And yes, that is a dishtowel around his head.
