May Day

The explanation in Wikipedia for May Day is quite confusing...but here's what I know...on May 1st, the Garden Club of Old Annapolis Towne sponsors the May Basket competition. Stores and homes in the historic parts of downtown are eligible to participate.



Demetri and I were off today, so we enjoyed a little date day downtown, which included lunch, ice cream and strolling to check out some of the baskets.



The slide show has some of the better ones, but this one is my favorite :)
